We are STOKED to announce that we’ve gotten in on the ground floor of a new technology using our Solea dental laser - Solea Sleep! Finally there may be a remedy to the snoring that plagues many of us. Let’s run down some common questions:

What is snoring?

Simply, loose tissue that vibrates while air flows through the mouth or nose causes the noise we call snoring. 

What are common causes of snoring?

• Nasal: Allergies, Deviated septum, etc.
• Throat: Bulky Tissue, enlarged tonsils
• Mouth: Long Palate or Uvula, Poor muscle tone in Soft Palate*, Large Tongue

*This accounts for up to 80% of all snoring!!

What does Solea Sleep do to treat snoring?

Solea Sleep targets palatal fluttering by delivering laser energy to tighten collagen in the soft palate. This tightens the tissue and reduces the vibration that causes snoring.

Expect this treatment to reduce snoring, not eliminate it.  You’ll start seeing results in as little as 1-3 days and they’ll last approximately 1 year. It is important to note that this treatment will not treat sleep apnea, so if you’ve been diagnosed with OSA please touch base with us for alternate treatment options.
